    ... Swiss are still allowed to purchase personal fireworks, so a lot of the campers were setting them off on the lake shore. One cracker exploded before launch and showered all the nearby tents with pretty silver bullets. All the people close by hit the deck - including me and Elles.

    I slept like a log (with earplugs) and am happy to note that I can still get a good night's sleep on the airbed after being in real beds for the last two weeks.

    ... we set off in pursuit of a petrol station. That filled in about 30 minutes, but at last we found ourselves back at the Avis office and survived the drop-off, which by now involved a queue. Luckily one person in the queue spoke French and English and translated the few bits my meager French couldn’t handle.

    ... also all had a strage look at us, most of all at my Dad. A bit after we came to the conclusion that all the other wanderer spoke about my Dad because I as girl carried a huge backpack and he as a man nothing!     ... our sleeping arrangements were a little basic it was a 5* view. Have been lucky finding great spots to park up - they love a bit of camping/motor home holidays here!
