... from Quedlinburg) and then hiked on the top of the ridge for about 3-4 km on that Teufelsmauer. A bit taxing for my knee in parts but I just took it slowly, and a little bit scary in some parts with deep drops right next to the stone or mud paths. But that also gave it an extra thrill.
What I also liked it was quite varied in scenery and paths. Very impressive.

... tough bit up a mountain on hairpin/ zig zag paths. A bit taxing but I love an active holiday.

And it was good that my knee held out. That is why I had chosen to walk uphill and take the cable car down, instead of the other way around. My knee has more trouble with going downhill, especially on uneven terrain.

... to the Markt Platz for the 'astronomical' clock show. Yes it was about as exciting as the glockenspiel.

Picked up our washing and headed out to ‘Truffles’ restaurant a very swish place that we were lucky to get into. After some excellent food and wine at our table on the bar (and a most impressive carafe shaped like a harp!) we headed back to the flashing lights of the markt platz.

Here we enjoyed some Vodka Party Mix…..Maybe too much Party ...
