We went for a walk through the village and it was just beautiful. Each village has its own town hall, school, cemetery and everyone knows eachother. It is also super safe. They sell potatoes everywhere- and everyone eats them every day. They even have little boxes on the side of the road with potato sacks- you pick up the potatoes and leave money there- ...

When we woke up we enjoyed a traditional German breakfast of breads, cold meats, cheeses, fruits, vegetables and different spreads (including lots of nutella) at the hotel. It was delicious and refreshing to be eating vegetables and meat for breakfast. Then we went exploring a bit at the local shopping centre..... it is interesting just looking at the different products on the shelf. The one thing about Germany that we have noticed is that most things are cheap compared to Oz ...

So it begins..... kids have been super excited for days- jumping up and down, crossing out the last few days of their calender and saying 'I can't believe we are finally going on our world tour!' Yes this moment has been a few years coming and feels very surreal that it is finally here.
