... the German sentence "der kompressor ist kaput!" didn't really take too much translation! Oh dear! Update at 4.05am is that Mr. K is sitting typing this particular blog having had a cup of coffee - does it count as a very early morning cup or a very late evening one, we're not entirely sure!!! The plan now is that a coach will be booked in Germany to come and collect us. We will load everything from ...

    Cool Cloudy 15C

It is a public holiday in Germany today (Corpus Christi, we think) and so a leisurely start to the day. We drove into town and had breakfast at a bakery. There wasn't much open except for a few bakeries and cafes. Nice, but cool - the coffee (still searching) was hot and welcome.

Our hotel is on a large park on the edge of the town. The signs of the big ...

... s (don't ask) brother works. All good, still searching, then off to see the Mainz Dom. On the way we stopped in at St Peters church which was very ornate inside with gold statues and fresco's on the ceiling. Then onto the Dom which was large and dark inside, quite different to St Peters. Had some fun throwing coins into the crypt, but were unable to wake Johannes Fransiscus Carolus of Ostend who was the local Archbishop when he died circa ...
