... of schnitzel you would like. I really enjoyed Schnitzelburg, so much in fact that after polishing off my schnitzel I helped the girls to finish off theirs. I'm not sure if it is the schnitzel, or if it is the sausage (from the pig), or if it is the beer but I seem to have picked up a slight ailment since we have been in Germany, I believe it is known as German Gut. We may have to do some strenuous bike rides on the flatlands of the Netherlands to help me get over this ...

The coach journey was going so well; we were making excellent time and getting through a variety of films - Mama Mia had finished and Skyfall was in full flow on coach 1 when we stopped near Dusseldorf at 11.00pm for a final toilet stop of the evening, and also a chance to brush teeth! Most of this drinking was done late into ...

... a bar meal at the hotel tonight while watching said game. Surprisingly (to the German fans, it seems) Germany was held to 2-2 draw - a very exciting and close match.

In contrast, the streets around the hotel was quite quiet afterwards (maybe something to do with the hospital over the road?) - in distinct contrast to the celebrations after the previous German win while we were in Frankfurt.

A bit of packing and off to bed - Budapest tomorrow!

    Friday 20 June 2014 Bochum

    Cool Cloudy 18C

This morning we drove into town and found a pleasant bakery for breakfast. Today is Christof and Nadine's wedding and we know it’s going to be a big day.

We arrived at the church in Bochum Gerthe just before 2:00 p.m. (kick-off time), got through the groom/bride side seating decision by sitting with Christof's parents, brother and very pregnant wife.

    The church ...
