    ... village of Workum to visit the art museum of a famous local artist Jopie Huisman. He was a self taught painter who liked to collect old things and paint them. Fantastic work. Then ice cream and a cuppa at the cafe:) We drove on to Lelystad to see the replica of the ship Batavia from the VOC (Dutch East India company).     Thanks to our airbnb host's directions, we arrived in Harlingen without much difficulty. I was glad I had watched an old YouTube video of the building of the dikes in Holland because it gave me a lot more appreciation for what I was seeing. What a testament to what people can accomplish!
