... in circles trying to get me back on but we were having no joy so we had to take a bit of a detour. Not exactly what we wanted on such a long drive. Again we got back on track and there was just time enough for one more missed turning before we eventually made it to the campsite at about 4.30 so it had been a long day. We parked up and then realised that we needed some money so we had to unpark and drive to the nearest bank and this involved driving very slowly around ...

... the good old times, that shop personnel wouldn't bother too much and stuck to a simple Goedemorgen (good morning) and Tot ziens (see you later). They couldn’t care less about your day. Of course, they still don’t care, and I guess I better get used to the new ways of the old world. It could be worse.

At least the streets in Deventer have been festively decorated to greet summer (hence the umbrellas).Oh, enjoy the rest of your day-- Prettige dag verder!

... we decided to hit the town and try out the Berlin nightlife but were greatly disappointed. The bouncer simply stared us up and down and told us to try again somewhere else. We were aware of this type of thing happening in clubs in Berlin but were not prepared for it so we made our way back home. The following evening was somewhat a success however.
