Had a good trip yesterday, the majority of it was on the A75 which is dual carriageway, unfortunately using local roads would have taken far too long. The road was fairly quiet but as the altitude increased so did the thickness of fog which we were in for about 30 miles then we were back in brilliant sunshine. Looking out of the van window now the sunshine is about to continue today.

The site is really rustic, there are few marked out ...

... amp; heavily terraced with a maze of dry stacked stone walls. These hills were dotted with olives, stone shepherds huts and a couple of vineyards.

Space is at a premium in these little towns so buildings are pressed together, making it hard to for us to actually see our hotel. We were greeted by an elderly lady who spoke no English and a Fawlty Towers type interaction ensued. Later a more hip woman gave us the ...

We went to the history museum that displayed materials from Roman times onwards, but it as an inadequate account compared with the impressive displays and curating at the Catalonian history museum in Barcelona. The Jewish museum in Girona seemed to be the best one.

... we'll never be back as I'd like to check out Barcelona, and Portugal not far away either. So here's a surprise - mummachimp is not as homesick as usual! This iMessage is the key I think! Early night tonight, packing all my Spanish goodies as hand luggage - out early, bus up to Barcelona, then flight to Munich then train up to Regensburg - a 12th century medieval village on the Danube River, this will be our last stay. Check ya from Regensberg ...

... used here in walls, roads and houses is amazing, and some so very old , so much work! ,
We saw older cyclists, hikers and Harley bikers near the lighthouse before heading up the mountain and through the 18 roundabouts on our way to Nice! Only 580klms - great roads and maybe stop of at Nimes in France to see the famous Aqueduct I saw 40 years ago if I see a sign off the tollway! Calideques has been a very interesting less than 24 hour visit!!
