In the Netherlands people also celebrate December 26. They call it "second Christmas Day". It's pretty much the same as the day before; there is lots of food. Most stores are closed and people spend the day with their family and friends. We're going for a bike ride to get some fresh ...

In fact, we spent 2 days in Berlin (3 nights) and which gave me the chance for me to show Nick things that he hadn’t seen before and also for both of us to see what was new since my last visit in 2008.

We were also very lucky with the weather, as it was glorious summer weather whilst we were there. Thankfully, due to ...

... it seemed to start when a big barge overtook us, but then carried on much longer than normal. We cannot explain it.

We arrived at Zutphen and looked for the fuel bunker barge but no signs of it and then we turned into our marina. We were allocated an extremely tight fitting berth so our fenders are squashed on the pontoons either side of us.

We had our G&T and then went for a walk into the town. John found a new friend (Little and Large) before ...
