... me almost at a complete standstill. While my tour guide urges me to keep pedaling, and sprint to the top, - ya right - my back wheel spins out and my bike tips over taking me down with it. I push my bike up most of the way, only climbing back on near the top to cross the finish line.

From the top I can see small villages scattered throughout the valley below me. The landscape is nothing like what ...

... don't forget our tent and warm, but very light sleeping bags. We will need those fr the ascent of the Toubkal, the only mountain of this trip where we will stay overnight.

Once at the event, the Kleins were both drawing attention. So many photos were taken by people ...

... with our new bike pump. But as luck would have it (Logan's luck) we were literally right outside a bike shop, I kid you not! So we dropped it off for fixing and hired a bike to carry on! Although Bruges was very busy, especially right in the centre, it really is a beautiful city. Really lovely to walk round, as you will see from the photos. Loads of chocolate shops, too many, not ...

Time for another big drive! The last few trips have only been a few hours and have been quite broken up but today was a long haul. We got on the bus at about 8am and weren't due to arrive until after 5. We had the usual napping time to start with, followed by pulp fiction and our map/discussion with food and toilet breaks along the way. The Netherlands is part of what they often refer to as the Low Countries in Europe as there are no mountains and actually a lot of the country is ...
