What an experience - Tour de France
After leaving home at 7:40, driving for 2+hours, neared where we planned to watch the uphill section. Places were filling fast...what is good, what is not so good? What way to face? Before the hill or after??

Day 4 - Heading south for the winter

On the road at 9:30 after fuelling up with "Gazole"........then the rain started. I have nearly 600kms ahead of me so I really want good driving conditions.
Off we go in the little Opel Corsa, out onto the motorway and time for a squirt......170kmh is "all she wrote". Honestly, I was happy with that top end, especially on a very wet motorway ...

well after leaving Roquebrunne about 10am we travelled along the autoroute until we reached this lovely campsite................ it is about 20minutes drive from the autoroute but it is in a tiny village in the middle of the countryside but just 35 miles south of Lyon. There was a Logis hotel, and we have stayed in several which have been good, so we stopped.
They had a car park, in which was an E type, which seemed like a good thing.
It had been a long day. We had covered about 220 miles, been rained on quite a bit, and were ready to stop.
