... went to Les-Eyzies, where, by now, the Prehistoric Museum was re-opened! Yay! The museum is built into the cliffs and covers the whole top outcropping of rock, fascinating to see the construction! Highlights of the museum include the collection of Stone Age tools, weapons and jewellery and skeletons of some of the animals and people that once roamed the Vezere Valley. ...

Bergerac is a lovely town with the Dordogne River flowing through it. Our hotel is right on the market square and an easy walk to the old town for dinner. We opt for a salad and a glass of wine.
