A bit of a rest from driving today - we enjoyed the neighbourhood of Verdon first by taking an electric boat out. It was peaceful but a bit windy. So sailing would have been better!

... longer than expected: 4+ hours to cover 200km, I enjoyed the mountain drive without traffic and green scenary, to arrive at elevated village with a beautiful green lake and a medieval castle to stay by 7pm!

The owner of the chateau was there to warmly welcome us, and we enjoyed our stay like guests more than visitors!

... flat peaches were fully ripe and bursting with delicious white peach juice and flesh. ... the winners from our contest to stay with us in Aix. As avid blog readers they placed entries in the system...and when they were selected all they had to do was pay their own airfares, accomodation and train conections....our presence is no charge to them.
