A travel blog entry by deantyrrell on Jul 24, 2015

This morning we woke up early again to be able to go to the lake. We got there, had a couple of hours to swim and sunbathe and then we left at 2:30. At 3:00 we arrived at the campsite and 15 minutes later we were on our way to white water rafting. The rafting was all the way down the verdon gorge. Max fell out right at the end and there was no access for 30km!! We all thoroughly enjoyed it. For dinner we had pizza (again!) and then went to ...

... I discovered that the Monte Carlo rally goes along this route. Even more research when I got home and I found this clip... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQwoR-qO 2bs I had to drive with cars coming towards me and in bright sun, they had a bit of snow but I didn't crash like them!! It did take me 2 hours to do the 50km, they may have been faster. I also have a chuckle when I see on these roads the request ...

... of hairpins where trucks have to reverse and then we arrived. Car park had a dozen cars / vans, rain was threatening...and the sign said closed til 3pm!! Not to waste an opportunity, we went for a walk to see the closed abbey but also had a good look at their beautiful lavender plants...see photos. All just starting to flower. They are everywhere in Provence, even on road side verges.

As we reached the car, the rain was ...
