... and see the view. The spire was in the centre of the platform and it wasn't until we had walked around 3/4 of it that I noticed the stairs up the spire. So we climbed the narrow, winding steps to the very, very top. It was quite windy up there but wow what a spectacular view!

... they are just closing for the night. We begin our walk back and it is enjoyable, we chat and laugh about the different things we have seen and done.

We pass the neighbours and they have just finished diner. We ask how it was and the man says very good and would we like some, it would just take him awhile to cook us up some. We thank him and said we had just eaten. We talk and he invites us to sit. He brings us a beer, from a local small ...

... hot and then all the sudden thunderstorms and cold again.

There was a lot going on at school and saying goodbye to the kids and the colleagues was not easy at all!

Spending some time at the lake, had my friend visiting for a weekend, enjoyed some parties and got excited about my new car finally arriving....

Today was Ulm day we had been looking
forward to this the whole trip because they have the tallest church
in the world, and you can climb all the way to the top. First is get
up, breakfast with Finni and her friend Angelina, who has a major in
english so it was very easy for us to talk to her and she informed us
that she had gotten all this information on a tour around Ulm for us.

...so someone else showed up at 5:30 this morning. And the Italian guy ("Ich bin kein Tourist!") headed out around 8:30. I was obviously so heartbroken by the latter that I could only bring myself to roll over and go back to sleep until ten. The jet lag is totally starting to set in. Decided not to get up and run out of here. I instead lounged, basked in the fact that the water I was sipping fizzed and struck up conversation ...
