First days walk for the children

A Hidden Treasure
... towns like this in the area, the beautiful countryside of Gers has many chateaux and vineyards. The capital is Auch with its famous statue of d' Artagnan. We can't possibly manage it all in one day, so it's on next year's list.

Day 10: Millau to Aubiet
... a charming little 7 room hotel and we have a delightful room with shuttered windows and mottled pink walls, plus a very modern bathroom. Dinner of local fish and mixed grill (duck, veal and beef) was served in the simply decorated dining room. After dinner, as it is daylight till 9.30 p.m., we took a stroll up the steep little main street of the village with its rows of shuttered houses, and admired the church and municipal buildings in the square.
