Oh and ... yes we saw a lighthouse. But it is a replica.
The lighthouse was originally built in 1887 and demolished in 1968. This 1993 replica was built for a film and now stands on the pier.
Amazing how cheeky sparrows are. The cleaned up the plate on the table next to us. And they had a go at Mama's cream. I think they would have taken crumbs from our fingers, they were that tame. ...

So we were one of the 9500 vehicles that cross this amazing feat of engineering every day.

We had a little walk (you could circumnavigate the place in 30 min.) and took lots of pictures.
We knew the village from when we were children. We have been here many times.
But this house we are staying in, is on a new estate. Well it is 20 years old maybe. And we are enjoying the modern facilities.
Must to a picture tour through the house. But since Stan fell through his bed and now has mine, I am awake and up too early.

We then walked along a bi further, and ventured down the wall of the dyke, and found a place where we could climb over the fence, that was fun.
