... is a nice clear day so my hostess Magda sends me off to two markets in town, first one nearby is flowers and fresh produce, beautiful things, then onto t'Zand square for a big weekly market full of 'stuff'. The markets in Brugge are surprisingly small. After checking into our hostel after small chat with the owner who has previously lived in NZ we again settle down proudly displaying our embellished Xmas Jumpers for some beers (cue TOURIST). ... it was well over 30 the entire day, and the owners of the hostel we were staying in casually blamed us for bringing such hot and atypical weather with us. Fortunately we spent a large amount of times touring shops, which for the most part, had air conditioning.
