... a delicious bread with raisins and almonds. When we got back to the hotel, we all quickly went to our rooms. My roommates, Addie and Harleigh, and I were able to do some bonding as we talked about a number of topics- from our directors to our friends and activities back home. They're both asleep now, but we're all packed and ready for our five hour drive to Germany tomorrow morning. Hopefully our new hotel will have wifi so I can keep posting these ...

... at 2:45, we were allowed to go and wander the town. I was utterly blown away by how gorgeous it is. Justina, Dimidra, and I stopped in a small French bakery for lunch. There was so much character in such a little town. From the cobblestone roads to the old architecture to the smell of fresh bread that seemed to follow us everywhere, everything just screamed 'France.' ... 8-9 hours with the transfers. We arrived at the Westin Grand Hotel (an SPG property) in the early evening. We found the Westin to be a very nice hotel. After checking in, we went out to a riverside cafe and both ordered "Flammkuchens". A Flammkuchen is an Alsatian and German - style pizza. Quite good. Tomorrow we get to explore ...

... Apart from driving into a private car park for a small business we almost went straight to the Aire. It was quite full but there was a small space. A helpful man directed us in. But then he saw our bikes on the bike rack and his expression changed. He said it wasn't safe for the bikes. We would need to take them off the vehicle in order to fit the space and then they wouldn't be safe locked just to the fence. At least thats what we took his miming to mean as he didn't speak ...
