... museum. The building was very modern and looked like a circus tent; with the flowing wooden beams glass windows, and white roof. I enjoyed the collection on the third floor of the museum that followed the evolution of Hans Richter’s works. The cubist and film periods were my favorite.

Overall I think the museum was lacking, maybe I just felt this way because two of the floors were closed so the exhibits that were open were very ...

... glass makers. After exploring the beautiful inside and taking pictures, we ventured out of the city center.

We walked uphill and found Eglise Ste-Segolene, near the Place Jeanne d'Arc. Unfortunately, the church was sealed shut, so we couldn't go inside. Since this is our first time really exploring a city as a large group, we wanted a group picture together, and patiently waited for someone to walk by so we could ask for help. Day 40: Metz

All the reservations were taken on the latest train, but the agent said that we should be able just to hop on the train. It worried me a bit, but prayed for good luck. We left the train station behind and set off for Paris.

First, Olivia and Dalton wanted to go to the Catacombs. I didn't mind going again; and it would be more fun with ...

Exploratory trip in Eastern France

... by how expensive travel has become in France. I noticed along the side of the highway that unleaded gasoline was now around €1.60 per liter give or take a few centimes, which amount comes out at current exchange rates at around $9.00/gallon. And I'm complaining at $4.00 back home. The tolls are also quite high on the highways. Between Paris and Strasbourg which is around 400 km (or 250 miles) the combined tolls were right at €35 ($50)!
