After a hour and a half train ride we got to Metz. We went to see the Pompidou museum that was right next to the train station. it was spectacular. Right when you walk in, there's a huge circle of water with bowls in it and when the bowls hit each other they would make amazing chime sounds. After we were done marveling at it we got our tickets to go see the different exhibits. One exhibit was about Andy Warhol. He is a pop/experimental artist. One of his pieces ...

We traveled from Frankfurt, Germany to Metz, France by bus which took about 3 hours. Then, we unpacked and got situated in our dorms! (Thank god I'm living with my best friend, Laura)  I can definitely say this trip will be amazing. I'm excited for orientation tomorrow and to meet all the wonderful people on this trip with me! ...

... with a second visit to Pompidou Metz. Its new exhibition, Frac Forever, featured pieces from the Lorraine FRAC (French Regional Art Collection). The novelty factor was displaying them in one large and dark room. We were given small flashlights to navigate and view the pieces. I thought this was really fun to reveal each piece one a time. My favourite piece was the surreal Revenge of the Goldfish (1981) by Sandy Skogland.
