... in Switzerlsnd at an ancient Roman site. Augusta Raurica was the name. This German town was called Augusta after the site. It was amazing the earliest archaeological traces found date from around 15BC! So of course Mark was in his element. We then pushed on to a little village just over the border called Kenzingen. We had a pretty uneventful drive to Berne this morning. Maj seemed in fine form and accurately guided us down the mountain, along the freeway and through the streets of Berne to our hotel. streets through the old town, past the Capitol, and ...

... from San Francisco. We chatted for about an hour and shared a bottle of wine. They were very curious about my work in Geneva, and also eager to share their opinions on the upcoming American presidential election in November. By 19:30 I was starving and had to bid them adieu. I made my way back into the main city and found a really nice Asian fusion restaurant where I got my Udon fix. After a day of walking a nice vegetarian dinner, complete with a myriad of vegetables ...
