My trip is over now, until next time Europe (hopefully soon). Had breakfast and caught a cab to the airport. Was originally going to take a train and just wanted a ride to the train station but the guy asked me about direct to the airport and said what I thought was €15 (I asked him the same and he confirmed) but he meant €50. Not terrible and a little quicker so oh well. Made a few last minute purchases at duty free. Time to board the plane to Atlanta ...

After a full day of traveling a red eye flight...we comfortably made our way to Hasselt Belgium, it was 24 hours of planes, trains, automobiles and buses. However, it was 65 and sunny and full of life. Everyone was at tables in cafes, drinking coke mostly and eating french fries. I've never really noticed, but so many people eat french fries as an entire meal...they top it with a sauce ...

... than I do in one spoke English and it just felt really different. We grabbed food and went to figure out the train system to get to Louvain-la-Neuve, where Elizabeth's friend from China goes to school. Her name is Melodie and she studies at Universite Catholique de Louvain. I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I was beyond pleasantly surprised.
