Time to leave

A travel blog entry by awatters on Feb 24, 2014

My trip is over now, until next time Europe (hopefully soon). Had breakfast and caught a cab to the airport. Was originally going to take a train and just wanted a ride to the train station but the guy asked me about direct to the airport and said what I thought was €15 (I asked him the same and he confirmed) but he meant €50. Not terrible and a little quicker so oh well. Made a few last minute purchases at duty free. Time to board the plane to Atlanta ...

* Voor elk boek van een Vlaming heb ik er tien van een Nederlander. De donkere and sinistere klank van veel Vlaamse boeken heeft me dan toch nooit echt kunnen bekoren.
* Zoveel koffietafel boeken ("kunst"). Waar zat ik met m'n hoofd? Ging ik soms indruk maken op iemand met hun gewicht en omvang?
* De selectie die blijft gaat over vroege jaren ...

... and tombstones, it felt like we'd been on the ride for an hour.

I was still waiting for the adventure... it really looked like they'd put no effort into this one, especially when we floated past what was obviously supposed to be a waterfall, which they hadn't bothered to turn on. Glennica herself asked when the adventure was going to happen, and I said it must be around the next bend- this was the only part of the ride not visible from the entrance. I wasn't ...
