Well our holiday in Europe is coming to an end. We left Arnhem and crossed into Belgium. Our destination Bastogne. There is where the Battle of the Bulge took pace in December, January 1944. The Town was occupied by the Germans but was taken back by the Americans in April 1944. Hitler wanted to recapture the town to enable them to reach the Belgium coast. For dinner we have a local speciality, which is basically meatballs in a special local sauce. It was very tasty, sweet. All of this was of course washed down with different Belgium beers and a win by the team!
