... settled, we decided to check out the local festival - The Kings Table - now the other name for it is the Kaisertafel. It's a big open street festival with games, activities, rides for children, lots of food options, shopping and a wide variety of beverage offerings. ... town. Next we visited the Faberge museum and this was fantastic. We had a girl from Russia explain the collection. It all belongs to a wealthy Russian (VERY wealthy) And he houses it in Baden Baden because it is more secure there. I cannot imagine what it all would be worth. Unfortunately we could not take any photos. Had another hour or two in the thermal spa then relaxed dinner at an Italian restaurant. Love ...

... beat but its big central car-free square was pleasantly busy with people enjoying the cooler evening and kids zipping through on their bikes. It made me think how Sidney with its aging and elderly population, might be able to attract more families to live in its downtown if cars were barred from the main street and people could use that as a public space the way they do in so many European towns and cities.

I think I might have had a bit of sunstroke as I felt queasy and for the first time on our trip, had a nap in the tent before heading off in search of dinner. We fortunately didn't have to even go into the town of Seltz. There was a Rhine ferry crossing just down the road from the campsite and what turned out to be a very nice restaurant. ... we spent some time chatting, they made me dinner, and they showed me genealogy charts for my ancestors. My male cousin is very interested in genealogy and he traced our common line back to the 1600s in Soltau, Germany. My cousins are also avid travellers and they showed me a DVD about some of the places that they visited.
