    Luxembourg city has a fortification history. It si built on the rocks of Alzette canyon. When navigating though town, make sure you know where us uptown, where is downtwon (Grund/Clausen/Pafendall). There is a lift connecting up- and downtown at Plateau Saint-Esprit down to Münster bridge.
