We went to a rip-off restaurant called BBt Chaud and Gilly had a Entrecôte Steak which was 50% fat. When he complained to the waiter he was met with a shrug of the shoulders. To top it all off they then tried to short change us by 10 euro's. No monetary tip was given but a verbal tip was - if you know what I mean!

... German, Dutch and English are all well used in this City. We were even told to give us an idea on how much different languages are spoken here, that the newspaper will have articles printed in different languages depending on which one the journalist preferred. We also went into a supermarket where they had flags on the checkout to show what language the cashier spoke. John found the largest selection of British beers outside UK; it was like being in ...

... was hopeful that we might fall within the "late" period. We waited until 4:20 and gave up on that idea.) Still, I now knew that the 100 would be leaving at 5:10, so if I couldn't figure anything else out, we'd get home by 6:15.

I tried a couple of other ideas and did end up running after a bus at one point, but in the end we took the 100 bus at 5:10. It wasn't a terrible thing: it wasn't too cold, it wasn't raining, nobody had to use the bathroom. It ...
