Since I was out late again (4am is kicking my butt), I slept till noon on Sunday and had another lazy morning. Today we got up and met up with Siobhan she took us bra shopping with was nice and we went to look for a candy thermometer. We found one but Maggie thinks there will be a better one in Sydney.

We then had some breakfast which consisted on Siobhan and I sharing quiche and an Opera Gateau and Maggie having a passionfruit cake.

We then walked around the local markets and town and got lunch. It was a processed meat on a roll with sauce. Pretty good. And only 2 ...

... got a cheese cake, Shiv got a little marzipan pastry and the chocolate mousse and berry cake and I got the signature dish. No idea what it was called but it was amazing.
The cake consisted of a marzipan/almond base with a layer of raspberries, then a vanilla apricot cream. It is a great combination of flavours. Love it, and hope I can learn to make something simular ...
