... nav already knew the campsite some 50 miles west out of Swabia and in to the central black forest.

We packed up, waved farewell to our German neighbors, wound the windows down and took a detour to Lichtenstein Castle 8 miles away. This castle is perched high above a town below. ... ride in known space (about a minute by all estimations) in order to get us to where we were going. We made it to our reservation for dinner and were treated to one of the most delectable meals at The Muhlenhof Landhotel Restaurant. It is one of M&W's favourites, and now it is one of mine! Offenburg is close ...

To pass the time Evan played on the park. The campsite is very quiet in contrast to the last one, the facilities are dated and not very clean. Once setup we ...

Another day, another train trip

A travel blog entry by tuross11 on May 23, 2015

I must say I do like trains. DB Bahn is very well organized and efficient. Trains leave on time and from a proscribed platform. My train to Karlsruhe departed Heidelberg at 11.48 , then had a 30 minute wait before boarding the train for Baden-Baden at 13.09. Arriving on time at 13.32. As I said very organized. The station at Baden-Baden is located some distance from the town itself, but easily accessed by bus. Tourist information ...
