... morning so we couldn't wait to get out of there. When we are gone for this amount of time, we need internet. I get so peeved, I can't even see straight. When a hotel touts WIFI they should have it. This is always one reason we select a hotel.

Tonight we are in a Comfort Inn about 35 minutes from the Basel airport. We have English speaking television and a great internet connection. WE are waling to dinner to a mussels and frites restaurant. ...

We once again took the regional train and headed for Freiburg. It was a very nice ride and we were able to see many towns and farms as we headed deeper into the Black Forest. We toured the cathedral next, which was very impressive. ...

Didn't find any that I liked that didn't cost over 1000 euros. But it was fun and these are handcrafted here. It lovely up here. Roads are fantastic. And the speed limit on the two Lane roads we are using is 42 to 50 mph. And that is ok with all the swerves in the road. Photos to follow. Hope this finds you all ...

... lied to us. We drove around an hour in the rain and fog to visit Triberg, home of Black Forest Cake and Cuckoo Clocks, as well as one of Germany’s highest waterfalls. It was decided to hike a loop around the waterfalls before the cake (you have to earn it), and it was lovely even in the rain. Germany is a gorgeous, green country. But 90 minutes later we were both wet and cold, 10 degree weather finally found us after days of warmth and sunshine. Lunch and ...
