... destination of St Malo on the Brittany Coast. A short detour took us to the medieval village of Josselin with its impressive castle on the river. So to St Malo...a wander down the boardwalk...seduced by a sea food restaurant, huites (oysters) and the best ever noix (scallops) and crepes suzette - a fitting finale for France! Just time to walk around the ramparts of the old town in the warm evening twilight (at 10 pm!). Merci Beaucoup de St Malo, Au Revoir ...

We had lunch at Restaurant du Port which is right along the main ...

A room full of columns, the giant hamster wheel that slaves ran on to lift things up to the Abby, the small chapels were all rally cool and unique. There was also some art installations lights and the alphabet in one room that I would have liked to see in the light show later that night. Sadly after all the heat and museums the kids were done by this time and we kind of hurried through the last bits. By the time we ...

... and then roast chicken while I had a goats cheese salad followed by steak frites. Dessert was icecream for the boys, Geoff had a tarte de Normandy (apple tart) and I had a crepe with apples. After lunch we walked to the top and took in the amazing view. It was very crowded and the beautiful weather made the setting all the more amazing. The boys were very well behaved and managed the steep climb really well. We descended and caught the bus back to the car. On our way home ...
