... From here my original plan had been to do a challenging hike that would take me back to Grosse Scheidegg (after about 5 hours and from the sounds of it very very steep up hills and downhills) however the recommendations for that particular hike was to only do in fine weather, and as it had by this stage also started raining I thought best not to do that this time. Guess another trip to Switzerland is in order. As the weather was not appearing to get any better I ...

... this morning. It is a very cool waterfall running through the inside of the mountain. Never seen anything like it before. After our visit to the waterfall we stopped at a grocery store to buy some lunch. It will feed us for three meals if we grab some bread ...

... Ness had wanted to buy a bottle of Evian and take a picture in front of the main mountains (like on the bottle's label), but the backdrop was completely covered by clouds. We could see the Chateau de Chillon though, a castle on the water's edge, and a statue of Freddie Mercury by the lake. The water looked crystal clear and was filled with rather strange looking ducks that had pinky reddish beaks and fluffy heads. We decided to eat today's picnic lunch in the comfort and warmth ...

... was sitting next to Andrew. After that enjoyable yet cramped ride we set off on a trail knowing little about what we were going to see. I hope my pictures again show how awesome the view was. It was odd to see the sun set not behind the peaks but beside them, because these mountains run east-west compared to my favorite Sierra Nevadas going South-North. But the one thing I thought about a lot as I walked was how similar these mountains and it's plants were to ...
