... 4 Celsius and with the weather as it was it certainly did not look like it was going to get any warmer through the day. I had a thermal on, a T shirt, a jumper and then my wonderful bike jacket and then over all that I wore my waterproof one piece rainsuit.

With the bike loaded up and given its daily one check over I left the hotel and headed South West towards Switzerland and the Alps.

Spiez is in central Switzerland, not far from Interlaken and Jugfrau mountain. The drive here was beautiful, especially around Thun and Spiez. The lakes are beautiful and so many people are out and about walking around them - all ages, young and old, families, couples and teenagers.

We stopped at Thun and had a walk around the lake, than another stop in Spiez at the castle on the top of the hill overlooking the lake.
