... I just wandered around and explored and eventually found everything I was looking for. There were several gift shops on various levels selling a variety of Swiss products, including T-Shirts, Watches (of course), Mugs, Pens, etc. There were also several restaurants including a self-serve cafeteria and a more “formal” restaurant, but as expected the prices were a bit “steep”. One of the restaurants seemed to be exclusively for groups.

Spiez is in central Switzerland, not far from Interlaken and Jugfrau mountain. The drive here was beautiful, especially around Thun and Spiez. The lakes are beautiful and so many people are out and about walking around them - all ages, young and old, families, couples and teenagers.

We stopped at Thun and had a walk around the lake, than another stop in Spiez at the castle on the top of the hill overlooking the lake.

I wake up in a happy and cheerful mood ready for another fantastic day in Geneva. I get dressed and head to the Geneva arts cafe again for breakfast. Left our last camp site with just a touch of sadness as it had been such a lovely visit there. Next country Switzerland. Punched our destination in Basil Garmin and headed towards the border which was only 58km away. Once again we did not have to stop or show passports when we cross the border , only this time we had to buy a vignette which is a pass that allows you to use the Swiss Motorways.
