      ... to get to the top. It was his first real mountain climb and he wasn’t disappointed, the scenery was totally awesome with switchbacks through the woods at the bottom of the climb before getting ever steeper and slower before finally reaching the summit at 1490 metres, wow what an achievement! His best ride to date!


      All in all we have had a brilliant few days, and now we are off to do some work!!

      The grotto was beautiful. The rock walls were freezing to the touch. But there was a sense of tranquility as we sat and prayed. Cherry and I walked the mountain to see the Stations of the Cross and drank the Holy Water from the Grotto. There were lots of people waiting to go into the baths but you weren't allowed to watch. We purchased little bottles to take some Holy Water home but you could buy 5 ...

      ... is a very popular holiday destination and with a bit of sunshine the place would sparkle.

      Our destination tonight is Loudes. We have a change of accommodation due to our original hotel being flooded. 37 hotels in all were closed due to the floods last week. This hotel will not re-open until next year,due to insurance. There are over 200 hotels in Loudes.
