Happy Australia Day! We said 'goodbye' to Colmar and headed for Eguisheim, a wonderful medieval town. We first visited Wolfberger winery, see photo, known for its fabulous Crement. ... Citron sorbet with gerwitztramier marinaded berries, yum! Washed down with a kir royal crement d'alsace. Meet Charlotte at the apartment, lots of room and great facilities. ... until arriving at Ribeauville. We walked up the Main Street browsing the little shops and taking in the town. We noticed that the archways of the old doors had a date inscribed telling the year it was built, most of them dating before the 1700. There was one old tower which was built in the 1300s. ... surprised that they brought me two hamburger patties, with grilled onions stuffed inside and a big fried egg on the top! Beef and eggs! I'm good to go!!

Well, that's of my experience here in Colmar. I'm headed back to Luxembourg on Wednesday, then catching a train to Paris, then another train to Bayeux. Bayeux is the closest town to the Normandy sites. I get in there about 11:00pm, so this is going to be a very long day of traveling.

So we got on and stayed on till about 7:30pm and then had to the shops and went home to eat dinner.

The next day we wanted to go ice skating again. It opens at 2:00pm so we waited till 2 to go ice skating.
