... tall man and a very intelligent man too. I think he knows about seven languages. He was just as welcoming as the others. It was great to be with a family and be loved and cared for like we were their own children. We had a nice dinner on the river because it was our last night as their guests so it was like a final farewell. Again we were very thankful that they welcomed us into their home and into their lives. I only wish to have more relationships across the world like this ...

I spent about 3 hours traveling, then I took a nap, read some of my book, ...

... showed us the part of the chapel from the Roman period, and its modern windows by a renowned artist-monk, Brother Eric of the Taize community.
I've seen Brother Eric's work before, and had no idea we would see his art on this pilgrimage! Watch for the symbolic presence ...

    ... we were successful.

We first followed the walking tour suggested in our guidebook past a church, fountains, market, the Parliament building and down to the river. (Still the Aare river that we had walked along yesterday in Interlaken.) We walked along fairly quickly, and then looped back to the train station.

We found a Migro grocery store and shopped for lunch. I carried the iPhone around using the calculator app so we knew how much we were ...
