The hills are alive (and numerous).
Before coming to Switzerland, I always associated it with army knives and clocks. After spending four days there, I now associate it with amazingly scenic mountain landscapes and oodles of gooey hot cheese. So much so for the latter, that my civic-minded commitment to organ donation may now require a legal disclaimer.

Bern Baby Bern
... Busker's Bern", so were hoping we could pick up some tasty, cheap street food... No luck on either account. It was chaotic at the food tents and we struggled along with only Luke's high school German between us. Hannah went for a gamble with the local dish, 'raclette', assuming it was some kind of sausage. Day 39 - Daytrip to Bern
... for a while (this time in Interlaken had been particularly active). After dinner we had our usual promenade into town and once again could clearly see our favorite mountains - this time with a full moon. Another fine and warm day came to a peaceful end until 2 or 3 oclock in the morning when a party of mountain climbers returned from their climb and proceeded to put up their tent and talk loudly.

Museum Hopping in Bern: Natural History and Alpine
... when I came out of the museum around 11 a.m., it was cloudy and even drizzling a little bit, so it made me feel a little bit better about missing the Jungfrau. On my way back to the Bern train station, I stopped at a Confiserie and got 2 pieces of chocolate, one Rocher (nut slivers in chocolate) and one walnut stuffed one. I waited until I got on my 11:30 train to Basel to eat them...and take a picture too, lol.
