This morning we did the Rick Steves walking tour of Colmar. It is such a charming place. There is a fantastic and huge market place with fresh meats, fish, cheeses, sweets, and other "produits de Alsace". We enjoyed it. Then we decided to take the car to a couple more nearby villages, Eguisheim and Turckheim. Eguisheim was recently voted one of "the most beautiful villages in France". It was certainly charming! Ben and I drove Mary back to her apartment, the two of them singing the entire score of In ...
... an Amazon look-alike, although had never been there. As we headed back to the station, we didn't forget to give it a perfect ending with a coffee and a dessert at the café bar on the street as the day was getting colder. Getting back to Basel with content was definitely an achievement and sure it was a getaway, a much needed break to disconnect from the critical project hustle. Thanks to my colleague, Judith who made it up for me ...
