    Werner and I rode from Beaune to Liesberg in 3 hours. It was a short but good ride.

    Overall we had an excellent time, saw some new interesting places, and were very good riding pair.

    ... best time of day to do it because its not too warm and the coffee still hasn't worn off! We started from the Feldberg ski area car park, which is strange to see in the summertime where there isn't any snow around! Hiking up the hill kept us busy and there were plenty of nice alpine flowers about.

    Soon we reached the top of the ski hill, which is about 50m lower than the summit and we got some good views around ...

    ... backs up behind you because there is no way to overtake. Then everybody has to wait longer and some people got a **** ride. Luckily, we were held up a few minutes and I got released first and ran the whole way down without stopping! Worth the wait!

    After we finished it was late afternoon, so it was time to drive back to camp and have noodle soup on the trangia for dinner. Yum!
