... short, the damn route got us lost and we ended up doing another massive detour. At rixheim, we eventually turned around to try to find any kind of river to camp on. Rivers are nice. We didnt find the rhine, but ended up staying on the banks of a kittle canal which was super pretty and a fair distance from any dodgy dog walkers!

We wolfed down our food in 5 minutes flat, I can't say if it was any good, and as it was soon to get dark, started actively hunting for a place to pitch the tent. After another 10km or so, we found ourselves in rheinfelden, literally on the banks of the rhine. Cant complain, the spot was pretty. With only beer and wine at hand, we had to make do, and shortly after dark we were passed ...

NOTHING is open! The only reason we put Mulhouse on our itinerary was the car museum. It was Andrew and Alain's dream to visit this museum, one of the largest car collections in the world. YAWN! So Andrew and Alain headed off this morning to live out their fantasies and the rest of us walked into town to find some breakfast. We ended up at the railway station where we had petit dejeuner.....breakfast. Nothing else was open. Certainly no Sunday morning cafe culture ...
... our last bit of our journey to Freiburg around 3. We arrived into town around 4:30 than quickly checked in and walked around the town. Freiburg is surprisingly a big city, lots of shopping and unfortunately isn't an architecturally interesting city I would say. We were hoping it would be like a big Rothenburg I think haha. Luckily we only had this day for Frieburg because tomorrow we go see the Neuschwanstein castle!! Goodnight ...
