... br> First stop was a pharmacy to see if we needed to cut of my foot or what the story was. Turns out I've basically over did it the last few days, and shouldn't be doing sport for a bit. Something about my achilles tendon. So. Drugs swallowed we set off, me taking it easy by only pedalling with one foot. That almost like taking it easy right?
We started off by following the euro bike route 6, which should lead us to ...

Saturday we traveled to the Alsace region of France along the Route des Vins (wine route) to meet up with Deb and Guenther in the 16th century walled city of Riquewihr. Over the weekend, we visited several of the local villages, including Ribeauville and Kayserberg, in addition to the old town of Colmar with its canals and centuries-old buildings. We also made it a point to sample as much of the local Alsacian cuisine as we could in the few days we had ...

... of France hasn't changed, although the prices have. Germany altogether seems a better bet, with the possible exception of wine... Tonight's Friday evening five course dinner chez Sandra includes the promised Gewurtztraminer as an aperitif, and Marc de Gewurtztraminer as a digestif, the latter like grappa but made with (historically arguably) French grapes. Today's notable event was meeting camping neighbours (next but one) from Dalgety ...
