... and what an amazing place to explore it is! This isn't my first time in Vienna, but it's certainly great to be back! I don't know exactly what it is, but out of all the cities I've visited, Vienna is certainly one of my favorites! Woke up later than anticipated this morning and after a shower headed down to breakfast.H had made an amazing spread of homemade breads, meats and jams. She was also whipping up a Kaiserschmarren a fluffy pancake which we enjoyed with nutmeg and icing sugar.

... and had way less tourist. I felt very welcomed and the people seemed super nice. I am not sure if it is because they are not as used to having as many tourist or if I just seemed like the type of person they should be friendly to? There is not a whole lot to see in Bratislava but there is a lot of history and you can take a nice stroll down the banks of the Danube river. ... is composed of tall buildings but the streets in the old town district are wider and there are cafes spilling out onto them everywhere. The streets seem to flow into eachother much more smoothly and there is an air of laid back relaxation in this city. There are little iron statues sprinkled throughout a couple of streets that an artist of Bratislava created. It was like a little treasure hunt looking for and finding them along the way.

... it was plus 42 and you weren't allowed to swim in the lake, so... kind of pointless... After walking allllllllll the way to another bridge and crossing it, we discovered that it was under construction and we weren't supposed to be on it.. and it was blocked off... so in 42 weather, we walked allllllllllll the effing way back to the new bridge, across it and alllll the way down to where we would have ended up had we been able to cross this other stupid bridge...
