    I need to mark Basel on the map & would also like to say to anyone reading this that might be planning a trip to the area, we stayed at The Passage hotel - it was EXCELLENT ! and I would highly recommend it; awesome shower, big rooms, comfy bed, mini fridge (if you can afford that sort of thing), a fantastic gym downstairs, and just a hop, skip, and jump away from anything and everything you could possibly want. ...

    Goodbye to our Blackforest accommodation, the Silberdistel. We drove from Hinterzarten to Hirschsprung to Freiburg. We parked in the suburbs of Freiburg and took the tram into the Alt Stadt.
