    Back down to Cagliari

We have a flight tomorrow from Sardinia to Trapani in Sicily. We have to drop off the rental at 10.00 am then catch our flight on Ryan Air at 12.10 lunchtime. So we're staying at Eduardo's place at Molentargius again. When we arrived the Pink Flamingo's were there in the estuary again striding about eating shellfish, they don't like us up close trying to get a photo, they just take off flying! We asked Eduardo's advice for an ...

    Thursday in Cabras

Today we got up and decided to just go into a smaller city nearby, Oristano, probably the third largest city here in Sardinia. GPS got us in not too far from the Tourist info centre which was a good start. It was an extremely gusty and wind blown day, everyone at the beach had an ...

Did I say the weather was very hot! Couldn't wait to be back in the car with air con! We took the coast road and it was very scenic, stopping along the way to take in the Mediteranean sea which looked so blue from every angle splashing against the quartz white sand.

    It was a nice ...

The information center also told us about a Nuraghe village we should stop and see since it was on our way to our next home. It was called the Nuraghe Losa. Several areas of this village were very easily seen. So many times the excavations are so incomplete you have to use your imagination. These are Nuraghi ...

... for some improvement in the wind direction before moving across to Sicily. The winds seem exceptionally unhelpful in recent days and seem to blow directly from the place we want to go to. As ever the locals always say it is ‘unseasonal’ but I have given up believing them now and think that quite simply the weather systems are changing.
Given the distances we have travelled, the boat has inevitably suffered a ...
