... to get psyched up for the return trip. But just then, the parents of our home exchange folks came for a visit. These are fantastic folks and as friendly as anyone you'll ever meet. We shot the breeze until 9:00pm or so and they left for home. While we were on the back patio we saw a hot-air balloon float by. I expect we will find ourselves on one of these things one day. And then to our disbelief, we were faced with a two-storey catwalk across a series of canals leading into the Rhine, all part of this plant. The only way across was up an intimidating metal staircase to the catwalk and then down another metal staircase on the other side. No ramp, no elevator, just a narrow metal channel between ...

Tip 4. Shutter Speed. I don't play around with this very much, but I do know that if you want water to look more fluid, you need to slow it down so the image blurs a little. Also with sport get the shutter speed up so things are more focused. It will affect the contrast though so watch out for that.

Tip 5. Tripod. I try and take a few panoramas and I bought a mini tripod for $10 just ...
