... and onto the fun…
The Tuesday before out Berlin trip, our group took a day trip to Nuremburg, which is only about an hour away by train. It was a lot of fun. Nuremburg is a very cute town with a lot to see. When we got there, we went to a Nazi museum and were supposed to have an hour and a half there, but were cut short about 45 minutes into the visit when 2 men walked through the museum stating "Fire, Exit." This was not urgent or anything, just a "oh, there is a fire ...

We’re now traveling on the Main River. We’ve seen many swans and ducks on the river and the hills have many vineyards. After lunch we docked at Wurzburg , another picturesque town with many church spires and a fortress on the hill. The river is crossed by another old stone bridge with large statues of Bishop Princes and saints lining the sides of the bridge.
Today, right after breakfast, we crossed the European Continental Divide. We went into a lock that dropped us down 81 ft. At the bottom it was, as our tour guide said, like being a spider in a bathtub with concrete walls rising up just inches from the sides of the ship.
We docked at ...
... sadly…I lost a flipflop….poor flip flop! I loved those comfy flippyfloppys and gone forever!
Well once we got to Nuremburg it was all about the hockey game! A little backstory…Chris spent a year playing NHL09 (Playstation) online with his friend Danny. At first they changed their jerseys quite often but they eventually stuck with the Sinupret Icetigers (due to the lime green ...
... The cheering was intense and we could hear it all from the campsite…pretty fun! The campsite was very nice except for the fact that it was surrounded by acorn trees and we were constantly in fear of our lives! Lol…well just getting a bump on the head! We did get a few nice donks on the camper but it survived. One thing we did notice…no squirrels…very odd!
We explored the ...

The morning after they began to round up thousands of Jews and to deport them to concentration camps. I would like to share with you, as the Jews who returned that weekend shared with me, the commemoration of a sad historic date by the city of Bad Windsheim. The following is part the speech delivered by the Mayor, Ralf Ledertheil ...
Bad Windsheim, Germany kitchenshrink... to 100 MPH easily and smoothly. The red Ferrari roaring by me at 110 (Rachel assures me he was going 120-140) made me feel as if I were being drafted by an F22. I enjoyed the new Mosel wine - light, sweet, and tasting of grapefruit. Some of it reminding me of the thirst quenching Canadian beverages I shared with Gail and Ron in Fairmont Hot Springs. Can it really be 10% alcohol volume? I have taken the plunge and braved the waters at the Frankenterme, floating out ...

A town filled with relics, beer halls, and people - people who are strolling and visiting and sweeping their sidewalks and petting their cats and dogs. I look out my window through a stork shaped sign onto a town square at a statue that decorates a fountain. Beneath me is the hotel restaurant filled with people who meet to talk about their day and drink fine German beer. For breakfast I ...
Bad Windsheim, Germany kitchenshrink... all that is out of the way we can get on to my trip! I road on a bike path for the fist little bit but once that ended it was on to the street for me. I wouldn't be nervous about this if I was back in the US but since I'm visiting a country I've never visited before and since I have no idea what the traffic laws are I was a bit worried about getting run over. But as I'm sure you could have guessed I made it back safe and ...
Bad Windsheim, Germany cameldoor... than I thought. We drove on. And I saw more and more signs for Ausfahrt! So I decided to ask my dad. Turns out Ausfahrt means exit... I felt like a dummy. But apparently there is a really touristy t-shirt that says. "Where the heck is Ausfahrt." I think I want that shirt. Nothing else really to say about the drive other than it was fun going 90 miles per our without the fear of getting pulled over.
