... Completely forgot we saw the farmers feeding them corn this weekend. There's a lot of corn grown on the island, but I think it's mainly to feed to cows. They have drying racks and dry whole corn stalks, then they toss the stalks in the field. Also, for the first time today, saw some cows eating hay. So, my theory on why to beef tastes different is totally whack.

There is a small town outside near our job site. We parked the car along the road in the afternoon to do our site visit, and on our way back we saw all these people gathered around the church. There was a big crowd in Lajes when we left this afternoon and they were getting ready for the daily bullfight. It's not really bullfighting, but more like pamplona's running of the bulls. Thankfully we got through before the pulls charged the street!

Had a half a day left in Lisbon today. I decided to take it easy, sleep in, and ride the double decker bus for the morning. Today was the first day of B day classes, which means we have had one day of each class day, A and B. Our A day is the long one, with 3 classes, while we only have 1 class on B days.
