    We biked up to Altea old town to see the church with blue tiled roof. Beautiful from the outside but not so good inside. The surrounding streets were full of artisan shops and a few small cafe's with excellent coffee. Bikes down again and along the front for lunch but found ...

If not in actual outfits or Father Christmas 'onesis', then they were in Red and/or white jumpers, trousers, jackets etc., it was a spectacular sight.     ... last night, and it is hopping!! Hundreds of people at dozens of outdoor restaurants, covering multiple "blocks" in multiple directions. Everyone is relaxed and happy and knows each other. We actually opt for Italian, because the smells wafting out make us crazy. We share a plate of bresaola, burrata and tomato, and lasagna blanco. Yummmm...... Gelato on the way home.
