Farewell to Benicassim
... the life style of the bourgeoisie of early last century.
It is not the bustling frenzy of some modern resorts, the pace is slower which is what we like, no seedy nightclubs and drunken youths in your face like the early days of ' the Spanish resort'!!!
It has a calm to it.

First stages of planning
Before I start, I've never written a blog in the past and maybe I would be not as articulate as most, but hopefully I convey and let the world now what I'm experiencing in planning my trip for 2013.
Next year I will be 37, so at this stage in my life it is something that I always regretted not doing when I was younger, so I decided it is now or never, Carpe Diem !

... not for much longer. You see, we're now very motivated to learn more. Lars and I are making an offer on an apartment here on Playa Muchavista.
Our hope is to spend a least six months in Europe, five here in Spain and one month in Sweden. In our search for a Spanish home we want to be near the sea. If all goes according to plan we will ...
And now we have an N.I.E.
... process. It was a bit like a herd of cattle being moved through various gates. Of course the fault was ours. Learning to speak Spanish is definitely something on our radar now!Afterwards we celebrated with a lovely lunch in Alicante before we took the tram home again.
My photos aren't very exciting but we used the tram this morning and walked a few km to our destination and back again so I'll post those too.

Cats and more cats
... was doing something. The guy told me to stay there and off he dashed to get more bread and then stooped down to the water and the fish came and took the bread from his fingers. Amazing. A small crowd gathered around him as I watched.
What we really noticed was the number of stray cats on the island. They were in gangs of about 6-10 and we found them all over the place. Some were by the restaurants, some in the village area, others sunning ...
