Pompeii-day 11

... or to Napoli centrale. Everyone on the Rick Steve's board said to just go to Napoli centrale, even though it didn't make any sense to me. But we did that - mistake. The station was under construction and it was a real pain to get from the tram to the station. We just got behind some people who looked like they were local and had a suitcase, and darted in and out of traffic behind them! Kurt said he didn't understand how they were driving, there weren't really lanes or ...

I'm on a Boat!

We woke up early in the morning, and noticed the makeshift bed we had set up for our unexpected guest the night before was now vacant. Capitano Nando had made an early departure from our hotel room. ... I didn't find cruising down the narrow curvy roads standing on a packed public bus as entertaining, but we made it in time to meet Paolo, our boat driver for the afternoon.

Our afternoon boat ride around the island was great. We hiked and swam in several grottos (water caves). The water is just as clear and colorful as everyone says. Paolo was a great host and told us lots of stories about Capri.
