The streets are interesting covered in cobble stones with a high curb on both sides, and then occasionally there are three rocks going across the road, these are the cross walks of 50 ad, they act as stepping stones if there is water flowing down the street and probably where the stripes of the zebra crossing come from today. The chariots and cart wheels can go either side of the rocks so it works for everyone.
