Traveled from Caglairi along a combination of road types. Interpreting the GPS directions took us up lanes and dead ends but the advantage was we were off the tourist routes. Housing so different to Australian standards. However all seemed well kept. We stopped at Nauaghi and toured the archeological restoration of Stone, Bronze, Steel and Roman civilizations. These stone constructions after being utilised for various requirements were abandoned around the 6th century ...

Today we got up and decided to just go into a smaller city nearby, Oristano, probably the third largest city here in Sardinia. GPS got us in not too far from the Tourist info centre which was a good start. We walked around the place all morning, very hot ,ended up sitting in tourist centre air con deciding what to do this afternoon! Well naturally we went to the beach to test out the Mediteranean. It was an extremely gusty and wind blown day, everyone at the beach had an ...

... with olive oil. Next out came some small fish cakes, some crumbed and butterflied mullet as well as a hot grilled fish which we pulled apart with our forks! What a feast , we were so full and then he bought out Tiramisu to finish. It included our wine also which was a Vermentino and the whole dinner and wine cost€54.

So good to have local knowledge about these places otherwise you're just flying blind, really good experience!
