... colleagues, by reading a novel on the park bench and enjoyed a slow afternoon doing NOTHING! In our never ending search for increased steps/walking miles, we entered the old section of Menton and climbed via narrow winding ways to the top of the old town. On our way we encountered the chapels of the black penitents and the white penitents, neither open for reflection as to their differences. We continued upwards fueled by a ...

... Fri - Grasse to Nice Dawdle over 42 km 250 m. The weather was universally excellent with sunscreen required. Lunch is at whatever town punctuates the ride between 1:00 & 2:30. Ridiculous. Was a nice salad I must say ha!

The photos really don't do this place justice. And yes...I really wanted to swim...maybe another time.

... here on it seems. Suspect tour company budget issues were at play and the fact that most Hungarians are too scared to try things they are not used to. By now I had also sussed out where the local Lidl and Co-op was and had stocked up on food in our 'pretend fridge'.

The day started with a walking tour of San Remo, the casino (from the outside), old town, 'old quarter' was spooky. This was the best part of the walking tour ...
