... don't come here at all. We spent the morning meandering through the pretty streets - bought a few trinkets for the grandchildren and returned by Tender to the safety of our air conditioned 'home'! A very lovely town to visit with lots to see and do. Nicaela and Melinda went swimming in fact. We will swim in the pool on board if the whim pushes us ...

Off to Florence, first to see the green statue of David ( by Michelangelo ) overlooking the city below. Lovely views from this lookout venue. We went for a walk up to the castle, which gave us some beautiful views. On the way down, Ziggy and Nick - keen for a bit of adventure, decided to go off the path - which was heading down to some rocks and ..... The glittering sea. It was really steep ...

We woke up in good time today, making sure we weren't rushed as we knew how busy our day was going to be with it being or first non-direct train ride. The man who we purchased our train tickets from was nice enough to write the connecting trains that we didnt need a ticket for out on a piece of paper for us. It was really helpful. We stopped and got a croissant to take with us for breakfast. The first train was easy to find, but the second was a bit more ...
