As the buses approach Bucharest we can readily see that the city is far more charming than the last few that we have visited. For the most part the streets are wide and lined with mature trees on both sides. The buildings are well maintained and have look cared ...

We arrived in Bucharest... ...but our luggage did not! After an hour at the baggage carousel we admitted defeat and headed to lost and found where they tracked our bags down in Munich. We had a really tight layover there and obviously the bags missed the plane. Had to head back to the airport a few hours later as the bags came on the next flight. We were met by Rachelle, Isabelle and Xavier who had been waiting for us for so long at the airport! IT ...

Arrived to a drenched and traffic jammed Istanbul at 7am this morning, taking almost 2hours to get from the outskirts into the bus station from which I had to take a second smaller bus closer to Sultanahmet. Once the bus was near a tram stop I asked to hop out as it would be easier to get to the hostel from there so I hopped on the tram and went afew stops down ...
... food lovers, and we are always looking for the yummiest foods in each country. Eastern Europe killed us with excess calories but really did spoil us with taste.
1. Bosnian burek (meat or cheese and spinach etc. wraped in filo pastry, topped with sour cream and a dollop of natural yoghurt.
