So this morning we set out for our very favourite Tuscan town Siena. It is half an hour from Ambra so easy to get to BUT we did get a little lost and then finding a park proved to be very tricky, once again due to the deadly red & white Italian circle which stands for Zona Traffica Limitata – so we needed to avoid getting a fine. Since we’re not bone tired and ready to fall asleep, I decide to splurge on a nicer wine and order the Castello di Velona Riserva 2006 Brunello di Montalcino. I find out later that the “Rosso” and the “riserva” are both versions of the wine called Brunello. Rosso ...

... was supposed to get off earlier at the Fortezza but felt unsure so took the bus to the main stop, then had to drag my luggage all the way through town back to the Palazzo B&B, that is, of course, right next to the Fortezza, where I am staying. Luckily this is a very small town--though it is hilly.
