    ... that were places of refuge for farmers, shepherds and sometimes whole communities. Provence has 6000 of them! They were used until the end of the 19th century. The village we visited has been restored. The huts are small but would be much better than a house of wood. Dryer, cooler in the summer, warmer against the winter cold and wind.

    ... back of their push bike, breaking a fresh end bit off and munching on it as they walk down the street!! It’s almost like a fashion accessory here.
