    ... Joelle, our landlady, who is very nice, and speaks French that we understand. We then took a 2 hr walk through the vineyards on a small country road. Every few minutes something neat happens, from a group of cyclists riding by, to a stand of ripe figs to snack on. Tomorrow we will move to the famous city of Avignon, for one night.     Monday Sept 9 th Day Trip Le Baux - to see Carrieres de Lumieres and The Chateau des Baux-de-Provence Today it was a later start , we drove 80 km to Le Beaux to see an exhibition recommended by Ellenor ( our Canadian friend ) .     ... the group in an Irish Pub??? Jill & I then walked the Promenade arriving back at the hotel around 6:45 to unload a 2 litre bottle of water (Free??? Horay) and the headed out to supper. We had a really good Pizza on the Promenade, an excellent bottle of wine an simply people watched for a couple of hours. The service was great with the waiter being very friendly. Off to Cassis tomorrow early . . . our second last day . . . darn!!! Cheeers ...

    Moving on from Cassis we decided to visit the beautiful city of Aix-en-Provence. As with most cities finding a good spot for the van was tricky bit with the help of "Selena" we ended up at "Camping Chantecler" A handy 30 mins walk from the cent of Aix and with lovely and very helpful reception staff. We arrived at lunchtime and after some debate due to excessive choice settled on a restaurant in Place D'Hotel de Ville which was very good. Replete and recharged ...
