... Australia, or at least Melbourne, is made up of so many Italians. As I wrote in my last blog about Italy, our sarcasm and sense of right and wrong is the same. All until it comes to the point of refugees. Italy takes in the most African immigrants in Europe. It's military find 'boat people' boats and help them get to shore. My country sinks these boats. If they make it to shore, we ship the poor souls off again to third world counties foreign from both our towns and ...

Another interesting observation was the fact that as we drove further south towards Naples the ...

... me by throwing the salad together, while I made my Sauterne friend potatos. Dinner was ready, for serving at 9:00p.m. In bringing the large pot, with, drunken mushroom sauce, to the table, it took Manuel doing a dancing act, trying to fit the huge, very hot pan on a too small wooden trivet. "Jacques , there are three steaks in the pot. You have one , Manuel has one, and Marina and I share the third. ". I said trying to warn him that the steak (chop) ...

Boy, last night it was so cold, I felt as if it might snow! Each of us had our warmest woollies on, and sweatshirts most of the night. According to Jacques it is always cold in Palinuri.... Maybe the cool winds comes down from the mountains, and meet the sea air, and the result is shivering cold at night. It was so cold, I could not sleep topside. I was even truly cold sleeping in my cabin. Our day began at 7:00a.m., as we took up the anchor, and made our 3-hour run ...
