... big covered space and took off our wet outer layers, and shoes (which are now stuffed with newspapers) and our hostess arrived soon, very apologetic. All fine now. ... it seemed to maybe start getting serious, but that almost immediately cleared up and in fact most of the day was sunny. And hot!! In the mid 20s which was quite uncomfortable! We are used to much cooler. We have moved into another département - Pyrenees-Atlantique, and I think it is almost Pays Basque. There was a nice Englishman next to us, who has lived in Paris for 25 years, so he acted as interpreter for us when the conversation got interesting, but much too fast for us! ... v Australia!!! So we were watching it live, and left when the Wallabies had started to score, and now have it on in our room. I don't understand the game much, but when you are away you get very pro Oz. The people at the table next to us were excited to know we were Australian.
