... did, well we arrived at this Aire and who should drive in 30mins later, Steve and Sue, the Aire they were going to they just didn't fancy and from all the Aires around they choose this one..! We went for a walk a minute into the village at 5.30pm and the late afternoon beer turned into Beer, Wine, Dinner and a Brandy Night Cap..! Boy what a lovely meal tho and a nice treat in an 'appropriate location' and good ...

... Then somewhat surprisingly (this is not my story!) he returned to civilian life as a hairdresser in Bordeaux. Then world war 2 hit (this should be a movie!) he was mobilised, taken prisoner, escaped, joined the resistance in the village of Eauze where he met Hélène (remember her?). On to our next destination arrived at through an elegant gateway opposite a beautiful church nestled amongst the vines.  This was the Chateau Bordeneuve - here was a huge but friendly German shepherd and its owner Thomas Guasch who was to be our guide and the producer under the watchful eye of his father.   Thomas showed us his vines - he has 20Ha and uses them to produce Bas-Armagnac from Ugni Blanc and Baco grapes.  We then went into his black roofed ...

... one solo German Man, Martin in a gite that is meant to sleep 18 we can at least spread out abit...which makes it bearable...can't quite believe what it would be like if every bed had a body in it...hope none of us elderly ladies needs to go to the toilet in the night...it's a little way to Go with a few door to pass through....I will justst say at four o clock in the morning....expand bladder...expand .......morning is soon.
