... dinner. It's bedtime now, as we're getting up bright and early to take a train along the French Riviera to Genoa, Italy. France was so much better than we even expected; we didn't encounter any rude French people (not sure where that stigma came from - everyone was very nice and helpful to us), and we saw so many things that were unbelievably incredible in many ways: historically, emotionally, spiritually, naturally, architecturally, culturally... you name it, we saw it. GREAT first ...
At some point overnight, the skies turned from clear with tons of stars to cloudy and rain. The weather change didn't really make for a rough seas, however. Miss you all!
Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving/Black Friday, haha.
We missed the summer lavender fields. If you really dig modern painting, Aix-en-Provence may hold some charm. Not a bad town, just nothing really spectacular.
Nancy liked the shopping in the old town during the market day.
My pic is a bit snarky. Just showing what is undoubtedly the worst (somewhat) functionally aircraft carrier in the world, the Charles de Gaulle.
